THE POUR OUT
The Pour Out
Our deepest, most protected thoughts and feelings are stored in the body and the unconscious mind, patiently waiting to be confronted and rewired to find freedom.
Movement, combined with journaling thoughts between shapes and breath (even one word), can awaken the mind and unconscious to access parts we never want to see but need to see, only to be witnessed in a small, co-facilitated container.
Together, Amber and Elise guide participants through a ritual of release and renewal—movement, voice, breath, and words becoming channels for the pour out.
Each session begins with Amber’s signature misfitmethod practice (60 min)—movement designed to wring out what is heavy and invite presence with an invitation for you to pause at any point to write down what comes to your mind so that we can POUR IT OUT in a peaceful, vulnerable circle (90 min) facilitated by Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) Elise Kayfetz, that weaves breath and meditation.
Facilitators:
Movement is led by Amber Joliat, a movement artist, dancer, and founder of misfitmethod, who guides practices where strength and expression become pathways to healing. Rooted in Pilates, dance, yoga, and art, her work invites untangling, awakening, and embodiment—what she calls the art of being moved, where movement becomes medicine, art, and spirit in motion.
Integration is led by Elise Kayfetz, a skilled, trauma-informed Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and yoga teacher who works with the stories our bodies hold that the mind may not yet have words for. Through stillness, imagery, and reflective writing, Elise creates space for healing that is embodied, creative, and connected.
